The "3D printed Detector" (3DET) collaboration is investigating and developing additive manufacturing as a new production technique for the future scintillator particle detectors with performances comparable to the state of the art.
We present 3D-printed plastic scintillator particle detectors produced by use of Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) technology.
The 3D printed detector is composed of scintillating filament together with white reflector filament as well as a matrix of optically isolated scintillator cubes.
Results of R&D phases can be obtained in the references [1] to [3].
