This 3D-printed project presents a compact 1U Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) shelf developed for educational and testing purposes within the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter project.
The mechanical design provides a cost-effective platform for standalone test benches, which do not require a complete ATCA shelf. The rear section of the 3D-printed prototype integrates a custom backplane to provide communication and power to the AMC modules inserted.
One of the main applications of this prototype is the validation of the Compact Processing Modules for the Tile Calorimeter at the HL-LHC, and the development of standalone test benches for the FCC.
