Logistics:
The event will take place in person, at CERN IDEASQUARE.
No prior programming experience is required.
Please bring your own laptop. If you do not have your own laptop, please let us know in the registration form and we will provide you with one to use during the session.
Times:
- Morning session in ENGLISH, 8:00-12:00

What will participants learn?
Part 1: Getting More Women in STEM Careers
- Ellen Walker, founder of the nonprofit, RightsTech Women, will share about the need to get more women working in data science.
- A representative of CERN Women in Technology will share her career perspectives and experience of working in computing and data science at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
Part 2: Technical training
- Technical coaches from CERN Micro Club and CERN Women in Technology will introduce participants to the basics of Data Science using the Python programming language, with a focus on business skills.
Part 3: Soft skills training and mentorship discussion.
