TU Delft x IdeaSquare x Nikhef e-summerschool – A Virtual Success!

From the kickoff on the 2nd of June until the final demo day on the 22nd of July, 20 students from the University of Amsterdam, Delft University of Technology, and Erasmus University of Rotterdam, have been working on challenges using ATTRACT Technologies in new ways. By using Design Thinking they have been gathering information about different user needs and how to meet those needs with their chosen ATTRACT technology.

During the e-summerschool the students had lectures with the IdeaSquare team where Tuuli Utrianen talked about how to Reframe Technology, Pablo Garcia Tello broadened their mind with his lecture on Exponential Thinking, Laura Wirtavuori gave a practical introduction in Team dynamics, and Hans Hagenes Bøe gave them a brief introduction to the world of Prototyping.

The whole e-summerschool has been organized virtually because of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19. Through Zoom, Miro, and other collaborative platforms the students managed to achieve great results working remotely. The E-summerschool stands as a testimonial to prove that design thinking courses can be held successfully online.

The course has been masterly coordinated by Dap Hartmann, Romy Welschen, and Sem Carree. As a final testimonial Romy Welschen has made a short video capturing some thoughts on what the e-course have been like, and you can watch it by following this link.
